South West Regional Development Agency (RDA) is one of England's 9 RDA's. Their role is to lead the development of a sustainable economy; investing to unlock the region's business potential.
The South West RDA has identified key industry sectors, of which tourism is one, that have the capacity to contribute significantly to the successful future of the region. The RDA have committed to invest in these sectors, where they see maximum potential for a return on their investment.
Recognising the need to work closely with the sector in order to make sound, relevant investment decisions, the South West RDA have nominated South West Tourism to be their regional delivery partner. South West Tourism's position as an established independent organisation with close links into the industry and a board made up of private sector representatives, enables the two organisations to work closely to guide investment and strategic planning to meet both government objectives and the needs of the tourism industry.
