Leading regional tourism businesses take starring role!

A new DVD has been launched this month entitled Changing Climate, Changing Business, featuring leading tourism businesses from across the South West. The 20 minute film documents how these innovative businesses have adapted to our changing climate and the effects of extreme weather conditions.

"Storms, sea-level rises, flash floods, heavier rainfall, coastal erosion, and higher summer temperatures ... the increase in occurrence and intensity of extreme weather events will have a huge impact on our tourism industry." Changing Climate, Changing Business DVD.

Produced for the South West Climate Change Impacts Partnership (SWCCIP) and South West Tourism, this easy to watch DVD highlights some of the key problems presented by our changing climate and includes top tips on how to identify the potential risks to your business, and how to plan for the changes ahead.

Very welcome documentary! Important to be seen by all those tourism managers that still believe there is no role for tourism in adaptation to climate change and of course taking responsibility to reduce the global 5% of GHG gases emitted by the tourism industry.
