The English Riviera and the Devon countryside provide one of the most delightful getaway areas in all of the UK, and the Devon Hills holiday park is one of the five-star resorts and establishments for which the region is deservedly famous. Just now it’s getting yet another infusion of capital from the Haulfryn Group – £1 million on top of the recently invested £5 million that brought the park’s rating with the national tourism board from four to five stars.
The previous expansion included 31 luxury lodges capable of accommodating as many as six guests, and the latest improvements will include an additional 23 luxury lodges set in beautifully landscaped surroundings and just a short stroll from the beaches. The park features a “Go-Active” programme that offers thrills or relaxation in diverse activities from surfing to caving and golf to beauty spas.
The new units are scheduled for completion by the end of March, and the Blagdon Inn is open and welcoming with its 15th century bar and restaurant. The park’s manager, Andrew Bennett, noted that Haulfryn Group’s investment makes Devon Hills one of the most outstanding parks in all the area, an ideal investment for second-home buyers as they can rent their lodges to visitors throughout the year.
Tourism, says Bennett, is a very important industry in the South West, and the additional luxury accommodations will bring more visitors to the area’s shops, restaurants and local attractions. The new lodges will be available at prices from £65,000 to £130,000.
